This is dedicated to all those like minded souls who, through one way or another, have decided that against all logic or possible reason, a suitable vehicle for everyday use would be a van. Not any old van but a VW van. Whether it be Split Screens, Bay Windows, T25s, T4s, T5s and all those others I may have missed. A van by any other name etc etc.
With a van as a daily runner are the problems that come with it. Height restrictions on car parks, or any where for that matter. MPG on certain models. Speed or lack of it? Being asked if you wouldn't mind helping people to move house/rubbish tip/general cargo being as how you have a van. Being polite is an art form. So is telling people no without resorting to swearing.
The beauty of these vans, and others like them, is the ability to stick two fingers up to the week, load up and lose yourself for the weekend whenever you like. There are many campsites in many lovely places, but there are many more beautiful places if you know where to look or where to go. There are sites out there already with coordinates, addresses for you to use. This is just my travels. Either day trips, holidays or full blown expeditions.
